* MOST IMPORTANTLY; What is your budget? Is it a set budget? 
* Services: Is it a high end commercial shoot, hotel photography or restaurant menu shoot
* Time: Is it a half/full day shoot or a week?
* Images that you require: A full menu plus drinks/cocktails menu? Set yourself a shot list of what you may need, prioritise that list of must haves + nice to haves & that will guide you if its a half day or day shoot.
* Location: Where is the shoot? Is travel involved? Will the photographer/team have to overnight?
* Setting the scene: do you also require additional props, styling, lighting?
* Inspiration: branding guidelines (inspiration/mood board? branding colours?)
* Plan: Who is cooking the food? Who is styling the food? What props/plating is required? Do you require "hand models", etc
* Assist: Is there an assistant on the day to communicate with the kitchen and to lend a general helping hand? Megann Evans Photography can hire an external on at an additional cost if required.
* Delivery: when do you require the final images? eg. 12 hours (fees may apply) 
* Destination: what/where are these images for? (social media & web, OOH, full media?) This is very important for edit, delivery and USAGE

IMPORTANT terms & conditions  INFORMATION

* Copyright & Moral Rights: All copyright, moral rights, and intellectual property over images are retained by Megann Evans Photography under the Australian Copyright Act 1968. Proper credit must be given unless otherwise stated in a written contract.
* Licensing & Usage: Images intended for advertising, print, or publication may be subject to additional licensing and usage fees. A written release is required for such use.
* Contract Acceptance: Megann Evans Photography reserves the right to decline any contract that does not align with Australian law, health, or personal standards.
* Third-Party Sharing: Images may not be shared with third parties without written permission, as this would violate the Australian Copyright Act 1968.
* Photographer Credit & Recognition: All images must be credited where applicable for editorial and social media use to Megann Evans Photography under the Moral Rights Clause of the Australian Copyright Act 1968, unless otherwise stated in a written contract.
* Booking Confirmation: A 50% non-refundable deposit and a signed contract organised by either the client or photographer are required to secure a shoot.
* Turnaround Time: Image delivery has a 21 working day turnaround time, depending on edit detail and booking capacity.
* Cancellation Policy: A 100% cancellation fee applies if the shoot is canceled within 72 hours of the scheduled session.
* Photographer Availability: If Megann Evans is unable to attend at the scheduled time, the client will be notified as soon as possible, and the session will be rescheduled.
* Usage Restrictions: Any usage outside of social media (e.g., advertorial work, OOH advertising, billboards) must be negotiated in the contract. Unauthorised use constitutes a breach of terms.
* Cost: General Basic Services Start at a cost of approx. $350-$400 per hour at a minimum of a 3hour/half day call out
* Payment Terms: Payment is required within 14 days of receiving the invoice.
* Late Payments: Invoices unpaid past the due date or non-payment of the deposit will incur a non-negotiable 10% late fee and handled externally by our accounts team and all communications will be via accounts@megannevans.com - not Megann Evans nor meg@megannevans.com directly.
* Rush Fees: A 10% rush fee may apply to projects requiring immediate edits.
* GST Notice: GST is not included in estimates.
* Final Deliverables: Final images will only be delivered after full payment has been received. Watermarked previews are available upon request.
* Travel & Additional Costs: Any tolls, travel, and accommodation outside a 30-minute radius may incur additional fees on top of the photography rate.
* Liability: Megann Evans Photography is not liable for unforeseen circumstances, technical failures, or delays beyond control, including weather conditions, supplier issues, or venue restrictions. No compensation will be offered for such situations.
